37 weeks, and.....

Our weekly bumpdate from yesterday!

This past week has brought lots of emotions. We were so blessed my best friend, Faith came up for the weekend and helped us prep some meals for Milo's arrival. It was also nice to just have some quality time with some of our chosen family.

Monday, we decided we NEEDED to pack our hospital bag. I realized as we got started, that apparently I was avoiding this task. I had some big breakdowns realizing, what do you pack for a baby that you may or may not get to bring home? What do you pack for an extended hospital stay? The tears were heavy but we got it done, with multiple outfit choices packed for sweet Milo when he arrives! Which leads me to the next thing...

Yesterday, I was feeling quite awful, and my home blood pressure cuff was reading all over the board. We thought we were going to have to head in to the hospital, but my BP leveled out and we were able to stay home another night...

Today, we had our scheduled appointment with Maternal Fetal Medicine, where they noted my BP was still elevated, and with my symptoms yesterday, they sent us to Labor and Delivery to get checked out. From there, we had labs done and I have the start of preeclampsia. Thankfully it's still mild, but knowing the risks associated, it's best to move forward with an induction. We are hopeful that my elevated blood pressures stay mild so we can avoid the use of magnesium during the induction. We are also hopeful that Milo's body can tolerate labor so we can avoid a cesarian, but will do what is necessary for our sweet boy!

Please keep our family in your thoughts as we open this new chapter.

A HUGE thank you to my sisters and nieces who are helping us with the kids while we are in the hospital, to our daycare for helping foreshadow these changes for Ryleigh and Oliver and giving them so much love, Sarah Jean (our doula) who is still checking in on us while on her vacation, Chelsea who is getting pictures for us, and to our village. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. We will try to check in when we can, and we will update you of his arrival as soon as possible.

Thanks for loving on our sweet boy and our family during this journey. We can't wait to meet him!

Leaving the house this morning knowing we might not be coming back home today.
Milo's sweet squish face. Look at those cheeks!
Today he gave us the best glimpses yet!
All settled in and waiting for the next steps!
